**Exciting Change in Plans* Join us May 29, 2025 at 7pm for Dare2Dialogue: a forum for deep discussion on serious issues.

What is Dare2Dialogue?

People don’t talk to each other anymore.  We live in a world of sound bites and opinions.  People don’t sit down and discuss things in depth anymore. What if there was a place to dig deeper into the issues we face today?  At the Saint John Leadership Institute, we are offering that opportunity.  So, we invite you to attend this dialogue if you dare!

With the announcement of our new Holy Father, we decided to change the topic for May.  It is also Ascension Thursday, so for those who were hoping to attend an evening Mass, we will celebrate Mass at 5:30 in our chapel.

Our topic this month is: Habemus Papam Americanus! What does this mean for a US Catholic?

On the 10th Anniversary of the Saint John Institute we witnessed the election of the first American-born pope.  The media has been abuzz.  Our friends, colleagues, and family–Catholic or not–have been sharing questions, social posts, and news articles about this new pope.  What does all of that mean?  We are going to have a lively discussion with Nathan Crankfield of Seeking Excellence podcast and Hallow,   and Andre Escaleira, managing  editor of The Denver Catholic magazine, to discuss this topic.  And even better, Father Nathan will be in town to add to the discussion.

Patty McKernan will moderate this discussion. Each panelist will share their perspective/story, then there will be 20 minutes of dialogue between the panelists and moderator, 30 minutes for audience Q&A, and 30 minutes of fellowship and refreshments at the end.   Read our panelist’s bios here
