The Saint John Institute provides an MBA that you cannot find anywhere else.

Practically speaking, students at the Saint John Institute will be online MBA students at Walsh University.

What makes our program unique is that while earning their MBA, they will live together in houses near the newest Priory of the Congregation of St. John in Denver, Colorado. They will benefit from the Congregation’s daily life of prayer, community and formation, plus enjoy planned excursions and cultural activities with the Brothers.

The days will be rigorous, yet the outcome will be well worth it. Saint John Institute graduates will set the gold standard for ministry formation, education and preparation. They are our future lay leaders.

Today, evangelizers need strong business skills and a missionary’s heart. The Institute will provide in-depth spiritual formation through homilies, retreats, spiritual direction, and supplemental classes in Theology and Philosophy. Students need an MBA-level program to provide the rest and give them what they need to impact the culture for Christ.

We want to attract the person who is looking for an MBA because of their ambition, independence and sense of responsibility. We are looking for people willing to dare great things.

Graduates with an MBA will be able to put their Christian ideals to practical use in the new evangelization, and sustain themselves in their mission. Unfortunately, there are many people with MA’s in Theology who do not have work and cannot give their gifts. Our students will be equipped to be leaders and given the tools to succeed, earn a living from their ministry, and create initiatives that last through time.

Through living in community with other young leaders, business mentorships and internships through the SJI, and interaction with the Brothers of St. John, our graduates leave with a solid network of business relationships and sense of how to form true community. This not only benefits their future endeavors, but provides a uniquely fruitful model for missionary activity.

The Walsh accredited MBA program offers you a chance to earn your degree from a top quality accredited university who understands the needs of the busy adult learner. Classes are small with individual faculty contact and taught by professors with real-world experience. There will be opportunities for SJI students to visit the Walsh campus in Ohio during the program, and conversely for professors from Walsh University to visit the students in Denver. As a Catholic University of Distinction, currently in the process of receiving the elite AACSB accreditation, it is the right university for your education. Learn more at
