Our first recourse must always be to prayer, and in this time of crisis, the Rosary is a strong weapon against the temptation to despair.

Prayers for the Rosary

The Apostles’ Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

The Our Father: Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary: Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.

The Glory Be: Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Fatima Prayer: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.

Hail, Holy Queen: Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

Start off your day in the right frame of mind! Join us for ten to fifteen minutes of prayer and reflection, every morning with Fr. Nathan Cromly, CSJ. Through Tuesday, March 24, we will be praying the novena to Our Lady of Monte Berico, the patron Saint of overcoming plagues and pandemics:
O Most Holy Virgin,
Mother of God and my Mother,
I thank you that you have deigned to appear on Monte Berico
and I thank you for all the graces you grant to those who turn to you there.
Never are prayers to you prayed in vain.
I, too, have recourse to you, and beg you:
by the Passion and Death of Jesus
and by the merits of your sorrows
to receive me, O merciful Mother, under your maternal mantle of protection.
I pray, grant me the particular grace that I ask of You
[Protection and healing from the Coronavirus all citizens of our city, state, country, and world]
and protect me from all evil
and especially from sin, the greatest evil of all.
O Blessed Mother,
please grant that I ever enjoy your loving protection in my life,
and even more at the moment of my death.
May I come to see you in heaven,
where I will thank and praise you forever.
Madonna of Monte Berico, pray for us.
