OUR HISTORY

Since 1975, the Congregation of St. John has dedicated themselves to the spiritual formation of youth and young adults. The origins of the Saint John Institute (SJI) date back to 2003 when Eagle Eye Ministries, an apostolate of the Congregation of St. John, held its first retreat. Eagle Eye Ministries was born from a need to answer the cry of young adults for a deep and meaningful formation. The first Eagle Eye retreat was originally planned as a one-time event but the need for formation was so great that Eagle Eye retreats were requested in many other cities in the United States.

For fourteen years, Eagle Eye Ministries has answered the cry of young adults and has been expanding to new heights, offering 20 retreats per year. Eagle Eye Ministries has produced over 50 vocations to religious life and many young families. In 2007 EEM ran it’s hallmark program, the Eagle Eye Institute, which ran for six years producing 21 vocations to religious life and four married couples. With a proven track record and with an incredible vision to move forward, Eagle Eye Ministries has created its capstone program, The Saint John Institute.

Partnering with Walsh University, the Saint John Institute will provide an accredited MBA in the New Evangelization. The Saint John Institute is a program unlike any other. Graduates will truly have an entrepreneur’s mind and a missionary’s heart. The program is now open to applicants for the 2016-2017 academic year.
